If like a growing number of learners your child prefers to study independently at home and they would like to attain a creative IGCSE, A level or even a Foundation diploma then we can certainly help. Whether your child wants to be a games, car or fashion designer, an architect, film or stage director or the next David Hockney, OCAD can get them started on a career in the creative industries.
We will fully prepare your child for their GCSE / IGCSE / A Level exam which you can arrange in your area or we can arrange for you at our exam centre in Bristol, UK. Foundation Diploma (A level equivalent for entry into university) is assessed entirely on the strength of your chld's portfolio of work and so is ideal if exams are too scarry.

Learn at home
Wherever you live you can study online with OCAD. All our courses are home study which means you can work through the course at your own pace and in your own time. As an OCAD student you will have a qualified and experienced personal tutor who will support you through your online course, mark your art work and answer any questions that you have. You will also have a student course co-ordinator who is here to help you.
There is also an online artclub where you can discuss your art work and make friends with your fellow OCAD students.
At OCAD, we look after you from the time you enrol, all the way through to congratulating you on your results and your graduation.
Balanced education
We believe that a child's education should be balanced - academic and creative. All children are creative and share a human need to express themselves and an Art and Design education is the perfect way to do it. Children love to play and the better they are at it the higher their level of creativity. At OCAD your child can achieve the satisfaction of achieving recognised qualifications for doing what comes naturally.

Creative people are sensitive people
The sensitivity of the artist is legendary but it is worth pointing out that this sensitivity can make for a tricky time in a state school setting. As qualified Art and Design teachers, we at OCAD are all too aware of the challenges for creative children in state schools as the frantic rushing around, perpetual noise and lack of time means that blocking out one's senses is almost a survival strategy - not great when the artist wants to stop a while and really see, hear, touch, smell and taste their world.
Sensitive creative children often do struggle for these reasons and home education can offer a particularly good solution.
