About Centre

Mallorca Art School creates a dynamic learning environment working in shared studio spaces with practicing artists in the heart of Palma, Portals Nous and Pollensa.


Here we have created a community of artists and an environment which is solely about learning and supporting students on the L2 Art & Design and L3 Foundation Diploma in Art, Design and Media in addition to running specialist workshops in architecture, graphic design, print, drawing, painting, 3D model making, sculpture and much more.

Sylvia Reitzema Carlow is an experienced educator with over 25 years of teaching Art, Design, and Media in both Further and Higher Education settings. She has worked extensively with OCAD on the L3 Foundation Diploma Art, Design & Media, specializing in various aspects of Art and Design, particularly Fine Art Painting, Drawing, and Illustration.


Previously, she held roles such as Course Leader at Kingston College for the Access to HE Art & Design, Year 1 Course Leader for the BTEC in Art & Design, and Drawing Module Leader on the FdA Art & Design at Kingston University.


Currently, Sylvia operates the Mallorca Art School, providing personalized and group learning experiences in a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere set against the picturesque backdrop of Mallorca. This location has historically attracted artists, writers, and musicians, adding to the creative ambiance of the learning environment.
